RECAP — Emmaus rolled to its second largest margin of victory this season as the Hornets made the long road trip to East Stroudsburg North on Tuesday night and came away with a 40-point blowout (76-36) over the Timberwolves.

Senior Mark Swedberg posted his second highest output of the season as pumped in a game-high 22 points for the Hornets who improved to 12-3 overall and 7-2 in the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference.

Fellow senior Zach Sabol also reached double figures for the 14th time in 15 games this season as he scored 12 of his 17 points in the second half, while classmates Ethan Parvel and Cameron Brooks added 9 and 8 points, respectively.

Emmaus raced out to a nine-point lead in the opening eight minutes (16-7) and then extended the margin to 20 at the half after outscoring East Stroudsburg North 19-8 in the second quarter. The second half belonged to the Hornets as well as they outscored the hosts 41-21.

The Timberwolves, who dropped to 2-12 overall (1-8 EPC), were led in scoring by Annillo Crizci who had a team-high 13 points.

Emmaus will be back in action at 7 p.m. on Friday when they return home to host Allen (6-3, 9-5).
