Notes: Emmaus is in the state playoffs for the first time since 2005 after finishing runner-up to Liberty in the District XI championship game on Friday 3-1 ….The Hornets won their opening-round game in ’05 defeating the runner-up from District 12 Central 12-2 before losing to West Chester East 3-1 in the quarterfinals …Emmaus also qualified for states in 2000 and advanced all the way to the finals before falling to North Allegheny 9-2


About CB South: Play in the Suburban One Conference. Were the No.17 seed in the District 1 Tournament, advancing all the way to the finals with four wins (5-3 vs Coatesville), (6-5 vs top-seed Pennsbury), (7-2 vs Bensalem) and (5-3 vs Downingtown East) before falling in the finals to Neshaminy, the No. 7 seed 2-1 …..The Titans are scoring nearly 5 runs in the playoffs (4.8), while allowing just 3 ….CB South was 3-5 at one point in the season before finishing 16-7, winning six of their last seven and eight of their last nine ….The team had some injuries early in the season but have gotten healthy ….Leadoff hitter Veit is an all-league performer as well as the No.2 hitter McKeown. Loynd, the No.3 hitter, was injured most of the year and is a University of Delaware commit. Cleanup hitter Trachtenberg is hitting .448 with 22 RBI. Petrich is a solid pitcher and tossed a three-hitter in the team’s 5-3 win vs DT East in the semis.
