RECAP >>  Seniors Luke Deschenes and Tyler LePage combined on a two-hit shutout Friday afternoon as Emmaus remained unbeaten on the season with a 5-0 win over Northampton at Church Lane Park.

Deschenes picked up his third win of the season despite allowing a season-high seven walks as he gave up just two hits and struck out six in 4 1/3 innings before giving way to LePage who held the K-Kids hitless in the final 2 2/3 innings of work.

Emmaus improved to 7-0 overall and 5-0 in the EPC with the win, while Northampton dropped to 2-4 overall and 2-3 in the league.

Senior catcher Dom Chiego led the Hornets offense going 3-for-3 with a double, triple and an RBI, classmate Jaden Gallagher added a pair of hits and junior Zach McEllory drove in a pair of runs.

Vincent Santostefano suffered the loss on the mound for Northampton. The right-hander allowed three runs on three hits and struck out six in 4 1/3 innings before giving way to Logan Higgins.

Emmaus will return to action on Monday as they travel to Pocono Mountain West. First pitch is scheduled for 4 p.m.
