At Dieruff, the Hornets picked up an important road win as they defeated the Huskies for the second time this season on their home floor.
With Tuesday’s home game being postponed due to the weather, head coach Eric Luckenbill’s team was forced to go back to East Allentown – again – and beat the Huskies.
And Emmaus did just that as they kept their post-season hopes alive while damaging the Huskies chances.
Juniors Matt Rooney and Jake Ross had monster games for the Hornets (9-10 overall/6-8 EPC) with Rooney going off for a career-high 21-points while Ross added 20. Sophomore Ben Grochowski also shined in the win with a career-best 13-point effort.
Dieruff was paced by senior Elsir Gibson who had a team-high 20 points. Classmates Doriel Lake and Alphy Deris added 10 and 9 points, respectively for the Huskies who dropped their fourth straight game (5-9 EPC/9-11 overall).
The Hornets will return to action on Friday at 7 p.m. as they host rival Parkland on Senior Night.
