At Swiftwater on Friday night, Emmaus jumped out to a big early lead as they cruised to an easy 47-point rout over Pocono Mountain East.
Junior Makyla McGinnis made the most of her first start of the season scoring a career-high 11 points, including three 3-pointers as the Hornets remained unbeaten in the EPC improving to 9-0 and 10-2 overall.
Senior Sierra Stevens shared scoring honors with McGinnis matching her career-high with 11 points, while classmates Olive Whitney and Gabby DeVita along with sophomore Gabby East all added eight points.
Sophomore Ariana Tranguch also scored her first career varsity points on a 3-pointer.
Pocono Mountain East dropped its seventh straight game as they fell to 2-9 overall and 2-6 in the league. No player for the Cardinal scored more than four points in the loss.
Emmaus will return to action today at 1 p.m. as they host Blue Mountain in a non-league game.
