At Methacton, senior Jack Csensits scored a career-high 22 points, but the Warriors overall scoring balance proved to be too much as the Hornets fell 76-61 on Saturday afternoon.
Emmaus, which was coming off a 63-36 win over Stroudsburg less than 17 hours earlier, had a quick turnaround with a tough road task taking on a Methacton team that entered the game 8-3.
The Warriors jumped out to a big early lead and led by double digits throughout as they defeated the Hornets for the third straight year.
Methacton placed four players in double figures led by senior Jack Bradford who had five 3-pointers and 17 points to share scoring honors with junior Jahmir Carter who also had 17 points, 12 of which came in the first half. Senior Sal Lemmello added 14 and junior Wes Robinson 11 for the Warriors who drained eight 3s in the game.
Csensits was the only player to reach double figures for the Hornets, who dropped to 3-9 on the season. Senior Mike Rooney had nine points in the loss and classmate Chase Whitesell added eight.
Emmaus will return to league play on Tuesday at 7 p.m. as they host rival Parkland at ‘The Hive.’ The game will be carried LIVE on The Eastern Pa. Sports Network beginning at 6:45 p.m.
