Boys Basketball – Hafner scores career-high 22 points, Hornets pull away after halftime and snap three-game losing streak in 61-46 rout of Becahi

At Emmaus, the Hornets used a big third quarter outscoring Bethlehem Catholic 26-10 and that ultimately proved to be the difference in a 61-46 win last night.

Senior Owen Hafner had a huge game scoring a career-high 22 points to lead Emmaus, which snapped a three-game losing streak in improving to 4-6 in the EPC and 4-11 overall.

Another senior, Jack Csensits, also had solid night adding 18 points in the win, while classmate Chase Whitesell had a career-best 12.

For Bethlehem Catholic, junior Jackson Wickenheiser had a team-high 15 points. Junior Parker McClary and senior Sammy Barona each added nine for the Golden Hawks who fell to 3-7 in the league and 6-9 overall.

Emmaus will return to action on Friday at 7 p.m. as they travel to Whitehall (8-2 EPC/13-3 overall)
