Boys Basketball – Hornets don’t look past winless Easton as they go on the road and defeat the Red Rovers 55-42 behind Barber, Brevitt and Darville.

RECAP >> Emmaus picked up its 13th win of the season last night on the road as the Hornets beat winless Easton 55-42.

Three players reached double figures in the victory for Emmaus, which remained the near the top the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference standings with an 8-2 mark.

Sophomore Will Barber scored in double digits for the 11th time this season pouring in all 13 of his points in the first half to share scoring honors with teammate, senior Jadis Brevitt who scored 10 of his 13 points in the second half. Junior Dylan Darville added 10 in the win, eight after halftime.

Emmaus led 14-9 after one quarter backed by eight points from Barber and increased its lead to 10 (29-19) at the half. The lead grew to as much as 20 points (47-27) early in the fourth quarter.

Easton remained winless on the season as they dropped to 0-7 in the league and 0-9 overall. The Red Rovers were led in scoring by senior Austyn Lutes who had a game-high 19 points.

The Hornets will return to action on Friday at home as they host defending state champ and rival Central Catholic at 7:05 p.m. The game will be carried LIVE on www.easternpasportsntework.com beginning at 6:45 p.m.
