Boys Basketball – Hornets suffer third straight loss as they fall to Allen again 57-40

RECAP >> Emmaus dropped its third straight game and second in three days to Allen as the Hornets fell to the Canaries 57-40 on Saturday afternoon in Allentown.

The loss dropped head coach Steve Yoder’s team to 1-3 on the season after suffering a second consecutive 17-point defeat to Allen.

The Canaries (4-0) had a balanced scoring attack in the win. Senior Anthony Rondon had four 3-pointers and came off the bench to share scoring honors with teammate junior Nate Ellis with each pouring in a game-high 12 points. Another junior, Angel Castro, added 11 in the win for Allen, which had eight 3s.

Emmaus had no player reach double figures. Junior Patrick Tulio had a team-high seven points.

The Hornets will return to action on Tuesday at 7 p.m. as they travel to Rockne Hall to take on Central Catholic. The game will be carried LIVE on www.easternpasportsnetwork.com beginning with the pregame show at 6:45 p.m.
