Emmaus closed out a perfect 3-0 week with a pair of wins on back-to-back days defeating East Stroudsburg North on Friday night at home 75-59 followed by a non-league road victory at Governor Mifflin on Saturday afternoon 62-56.

The Hornets improved to 7-1 overall on the season and 4-0 in the Eastern Pennsylania Conference.

Last night, Emmaus raced out to a big early lead and used a balanced scoring attack with four players reaching double figures as they defeated the Timberwolves by 16 points.

Senior Teague McCourt shined in the victory as he scored 16 of his career-high 20 points in the first half, while classmate Will Barber led the Hornets with a team-high 22 points. Senior Jametric Harris added 12 points and junior Rafael Terrero provided a spark off the bench with a career-best 11 for the Hornets who had a season-high seven 3-pointers in the game.

ES North was paced by their talented senior guards Nate Wilder (24 points) and Bryceson Dobie (22) who combined for all but 13 of the Timberwolves points.

On Saturday, it was Harris leading the way for Emmaus as he scored a season-high 24 points in the Hornets non-league road win over Governor Mifflin.

Barber added 17 in the win with most of his points coming from the free-throw line where he was 11 of 13. As a team, Emmaus shot a season-best 78 percent from the line (21 of 27).

Governor Mifflin (3-3) was paced by Matt Koehler who had four 3-pointers and 19 points, while teammate Andrew Galantuomo added 17.

The Hornets will return to league play next week as they host unbeaten Liberty on Tuesday followed by a road contest at rival Central Catholic on Thursday. Both games will be carried LIVE on The Eastern Pa. Sports Network with coverage beginning at 6:45 p.m.
