RECAP >> Emmaus got the sour taste out of its mouths following Friday night’s 29-point home loss to rival Central Catholic by putting up a season-high for points in a game in a 70-39 rout of Upper Perkiomen in a non-league game Saturday afternoon in Pennsburg.
The Hornets, who managed just eight field goals and a season-low 26 points in the loss to Vikings, rebounded with a 31-point blowout of the Indians as they improved to 14-3 overall.
Junior Chase Muckey led Emmaus in scoring as he came off the bench and scored a career-high 13 points, including three 3-pointers for the Hornets who had a season-high nine 3’s in the win. Sophomore Jametric Harris added a career-best 11, sophomore Will Barber had 10 and junior Dylan Darville and senior Jadis Brevitt each scored nine points.
Upper Perk was led in scoring by Daniel Carpenter who scored a team-high 14 points.
The Hornets will return to EPC league action on Tuesday at 7 p.m. as they travel to Northampton looking to avenge an earlier-season loss to the K-Kids. The game will be carried LIVE onwww.easternpasportsnetwork.com beginning at 6:40 p.m.
