Boys Basketball – Registration open for Hornet Hoop Camp on July 7 – 10.

New Emmaus boys basketball head coach Eric Luckenbill has announced the dates for this year’s Hornet Hoop Camp.

The camp will be held July 7-10 from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Eyer Middle School on Buckeye Road in Macungie and is open to all incoming 5th-9th grade boys.

The daily schedule includes: check-in and shoot (9:45-10 am), stretch, announcements, quote of the day (10-10:15 am), group drill of the day (10:15-10:35 am), fundamental stations (10:35-11:05 am), team concepts, prep (11:05-11:15 am), free throws, hot shot, knockout competitions (11:15-11:45 am), Lunch (11:45-12:15 pm), 5-on-5 game (12:15-12:45 pm), 1 vs 1 tourney (12:45-1:15 pm), team drill/team building (1:15-1:45 pm), guest speaker (1:45-2 pm), 5 on 5 games (2-2:30 pm), Great Cougar Shootout (2:30-2:50 pm), closing, announcements (2:50-3 pm). Parents are welcome at 2 p.m. on Thursday for the championship game and awards ceremony.

The camp is designed to teach the fundamental of the game of basketball. Dribbling, shooting, pivoting, rebounding, passing and proper footwork are all needed to play the game properly.

Campers are encouraged to register early. Cost is $180 (*$10 per camper discount if a family registers multiple kids.)

Package includes: free camp T-shirt (if register by June 20), pizza lunch on Wednesday, freeze pop competitions, drinks available throughout camp, awards for competition and camp, instruction by high school coaches and players, camp led competitions and exercises, trainer on site at all times. All players must bring packed lunch to camp on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
