Emmaus boys basketball head coach Steve Yoder has announced the dates for this year’s Hornet Hoop Camp.
The camp will be held July 10-13 at Emmaus High School and is open to boys entering Grades 7-10. All campers should arrive between 8:45 a.m. – 9 a.m. and be dressed to play. Camp will end at 3 p.m. each day.
The daily schedule includes: open shooting (8:45 am – 9 am), attendance, announcements, group stretch (9-9:20), fundamentals (9:20-10:30), games (10:30-11:45), lunch (11:45-12:20), shooting competitions (12:20-1), 1-on-1/3-on-3 Tournaments (1-1:30), games (1:30-2:30), competition drills (2:30-2:45) and closing announcements (2:45-3). There will be an awards ceremony at 11:30 a.m. on the final day of the camp.
The camp is designed to teach the fundamental of the game of basketball. Dribbling, shooting, pivoting, rebounding, passing and proper footwork are all needed to play the game properly.
Yoder, who just completed his 15th season at Emmaus, will be assisted by his current coaching staff as well as current and former players.
Campers are encouraged to register early. Tuition is $180 if received by June 20 and $200 if received later.
