Boys lacrosse – Barber, Flok and Rooney combine for 13 goals as Hornets roll to 18-1 rout over Becahi

RECAP >> Seven different players scored goals in the Hornets 18-1 rout at Bethlehem Catholic on Thursday.

Sophomore Will Barber led the offense with an eight-point game with four goals to go along with four assists for Emmaus which improved to 3-0 on the season.

Senior Connor Flok had his second five-goal game of the season, while sophomore Liam Rooney scored a career-high four goals. Freshman Ashton Fehr scored his first career varsity goals, and junior John Hughes and sophomore Zach Yenawine each added a goal and an assist. In goal, senior Jared Speicher (3 saves) and junior Ben Goldman (1 save) combined to allow just one goal on the day.

Bethlehem Catholic dropped to 0-3 on the season. Tom Fekula had the lone goal for the Golden Hawks.

Emmaus will return to action at 10 a.m. on Saturday as they host Wilson from Berks County. The game will be carried LIVE on www.easternpasportsnetwork.com beginning at 9:45 a.m. with the pregame show.
