At Memorial Field on Tuesday night, Emmaus opened its season with eight different players scoring goals in the Hornets 13-2 rout of Bethlehem Catholic.

Sophomore Alex Younker led the way with a game-high four goals and an assist. Senior Colin Garrett and sophomore Sam Pechulis each added a pair of goals, while classmate Greyson Schmidt also scored a goal and dished out a game-high four assists. Another sophomore, Dylan Maloney, also got into the scoring with a goal and three assists for Emmaus which improved to 1-0 on the season.

In goal, freshman Liam Lewis made his first career varsity start and stopped six shots while sophomore Alex Malitz also saw time in net making one save.

At the faceoff-X, Emmaus dominated winning 15 of 18 led by Garrett, freshman Max Weber and senior Aiden Issler.

The Hornets will return to action on Thursday at 4 p.m. as they travel to Freedom.
