RECAP >> Emmaus battled rival and the EPC’s only unbeaten team Parkland for three quarters during last night’s much-anticipated matchup at Memorial Field, but the Trojans proved to be too much in the end as as they handed the Hornets their second league loss of the season in a 14-8 win.

In the loss, junior Will Barber scored a team-high four goals for Emmaus (6-2 EPC/11-5 overall) and moved into No.2 all-time for most goals in a season at Emmaus joining former Hornet Dan Kinek (’11) with 67.

Freshman Jack Restino added a pair of scores for the Hornets and senior Aidan Garrett also had two goals, 12 groundballs and won 16 of 26 attempts at the faceoff-X. In goal, junior Sam Rainford was busy making 17 saves.

For Parkland (9-0/14-2) senior Chase Kusko paced all scorers with a game-high six goals. For his efforts, Kusko was named the SportClips Player of the Game on the LIVE broadcast on The Eastern Pa. Sports Network.

Chase’s younger brother, sophomore Parker, also had a big night with a five-point effort (3G/2A), while junior Anthony Schultz added a pair of goals. The win by the Trojans was their first against Emmaus since the 2019 season.

The Hornets will close out their regular-season on Thursday at 5:30 p.m. as they travel to Pleasant Valley.
