Boys Soccer – Amato and Morales score goals as Hornets pick up 2-0 road win at Northampton

RECAP >> Seniors Jaeden Amato and Carolos Morales both scored goals in Emmaus’ 2-0 win at Northampton on Monday night.

Amato converted on a penalty kick in the first half to give the Hornets a 1-0 lead, while Morales added an insurance goal in the second half.

Emmaus outshot Northampton 6-2 in the match and held a 12-1 advantage in corners. In goal, junior Max McGrath was credited with a pair of saves while his counterpart Vincent Santostefano had four stops.

With the victory, the Hornets improved to 4-0-2 overall and 4-0-1 in the EPC, while the K-Kids dropped to 1-4 overall and 1-3 in the league.

The Hornets will return to action at 4 p.m. Tuesday as they travel to Pocono Mountain East.
