Boys Soccer – Hornets get goals from four different players as they roll to 4-1 win over Nazareth

RECAP >> Four different players scored goals in Emmaus’ 4-1 road win at Nazareth on Thursday night.

The Hornets, who have been dealing with injuries throughout the season, scored a pair of goals in each half as they improved to 13-1-1 in the EPC and 14-1-1 overall.

Sophomore Ben Grossi got the scoring started with his first goal of the season giving Emmaus a 1-0 lead. Senior Ethan Dublin also found the back of net in the half giving the Hornets a 2-0 lead with his eighth tally on the year.

Senior Miles Cook also got into the scoring act with his fourth goal of the season, and senior Mohamed Hassanali closed out the scoring with his fifth goal.

Nazareth’s lone score and shot of the game came in the second half as Meza Cuadra converted on a penalty kick. The Blue Eagles dropped to 6-8-1 in the league and 6-9-1 overall with the loss.

Statistically, Emmaus dominated Nazareth outshooting the Blue Eagles 9-1 and holding a 5-0 advantage in penalty corners in the game. Junior Will Peck picked up the win in goal for the Hornets.

Emmaus will return to action on Monday at 6:30 p.m. as they host Liberty on Senior Night before traveling to rival Parkland at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. Both games will be carried LIVE on The Eastern Pa. Sports Network.
