RECAP >> A streak of 11 consecutive wins to start the season, including the last eight by shutout, came to an end on Monday night at Northampton for the Hornets as they suffered their first loss of the season in a 1-0 loss to the Konkrete Kids.
Northampton’s DeLali Tsome scored the lone goal of the game off the lone shot by the hosts as he knocked home a rebound shot in the second half for the KKids who became just the second team this season to score against Emmaus.
Through the first 10 games of the season, the Hornets had dominated their opponents scoring 34 goals while allowing just one. They had also posted 10 shutouts.
The loss was the first of the season for head coach John Cari’s team who dropped to 11-1 overall on the season. Northampton improved to 11-1 with the victory.
Statistically, Emmaus outshot Northampton 6-1 in the game and held a 3-1 advantage in corners. In goal, KKids keeper Ethan Schrampf stopped all six shots he faced to pickup the win.
Emmaus will look to bounce back on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. at home as they host Freedom.
