Boys soccer – Sophomores Kiernan and Grigoruk score goals as Hornets pick up 3-0 road win at Stroudsburg

RECAP >> Emmaus remained unbeaten on the season Monday night as the Hornets went on the road and blanked Stroudsburg 3-0.

The victory helped coach John Cari’s team improve 6-0-3 overall and 6-0-2 in the EPC.

Sophomore forward Ryan Kiernan continued his torrid scoring with his team-leading eighth goal, while classmate Adam Grigoruk scored his first goal of the season and senior Logan Mains his second. In goal, senior Ty Bleiler and junior Max McGrath combined on the clean sheet, the fifth of the season for the Hornets.

Emmaus outshot Stroudsburg 9-1 and held a 7-0 advantage in corners.

The Hornets will return to action on Wednesday as they host Nazareth at 6:30 p.m. in a rematch of last year’s District XI Championship game. The game will be carried LIVE on www.easternpasportsnetwork.com beginning with the pregame show at 6:15 p.m.
