Boys Tennis – Hornets open season with 5-2 win over Central Catholic

RECAP >> The Emmaus boys tennis team got their 2021 season off to a positive result on Friday afternoon at home as the Hornets defeated rival Central Catholic 5-2.

Emmaus began the dual by sweeping the singles competition with seniors Quinn Erk (No.1), Aidan Springs (No.3) and Eddy Chow (No.2) all sweeping their matches in two sets.

In doubles, juniors Nic Gilboy and Gabe Huff swept at No. 2 for the Hornets, while seniors Ali Ahmed and Johnson Yang also picked up an 8-4 win at No. 1.

The two teams will be back at it on Monday at 3:30 pm at Emmaus High School.

No.1 – Quinn Erk (Emmaus) defeated Jessie Coulter 7-6, 6-1
