PREVIEW – The District XI championship is on the line as Emmaus and Freedom meet. The Hornets won the regular season meeting back on April 28 in five sets (25-22, 25-19, 24-26, 12-25, 15-11) … Emmaus is seeking its first D11 title since 2018, while Freedom hasn’t won since ’09 … The Hornets have won five championships since 2011 (’18, ’17, ’13, ’12 and ’11) … Both teams will be headed to the PIAA State Tournament on June 3. The D11 champ will host District 3 third place (Cumberland Valley/Northeastern/Governor Mifflin/Central York), while D11 runner-up will travel to District 2 champ (Del Val/Abington Heights/Wilkes-Barre/Wyoming Valley West)
