At Nazareth on Wednesday night, Emmaus dominated the Blue Eagles throughout the match outshooting the hosts 14-0 and holding a 5-0 advantage in corners and despite that, the Hornets were able to only muster one goal of the night.

But that lone score in the second half courtesy of sophomore Canyon Reinhardt, his second of the season, was all head coach John Cari’s team needed as they posted their fifth straight shutout while handing Nazareth its first loss of the season.

Emmaus remained unbeaten in league play as they improved to 5-0 and upped their overall mark to 5-1. Nazareth, which got 13 saves from goalkeeper Noah Bogar, dropped to 3-1 both in the EPC and overall.

After back-to-back games in a 24-hour period, the Hornets will get a much needed break as they won’t return to action until Monday, September 11 when they travel to Pocono Mountain East at 4 p.m.
