A pair of records fell on Whitehall Parkway’s rugged 3.1-mile course on Tuesday afternoon as both the Emmaus boy’s and girl’s teams picked up three more victories on the season.
In the boy’s race, senior Ryan Fach finished first in a time of 17:43 breaking the previous mark of 17:56 held in 2021 as the Hornets defeated Stroudsburg, East Stroudsburg North and ES South.
Teammate, sophomore David Hearn, finished second overall (17:59) for the Hornets (6-0) who had seven runners place in the top 10.
On the girls’ side, senior Madelyn McCartney placed first and broke the previous course record of 20:05 (2021) with a time of 19:59 as Emmaus improved to 6-0 overall.
Junior Grace Nosal finished second overall in a time of 21:31 for the Hornets, who had eight runners in the top 10.
Both teams will return to action on September 23 at 4:45 p.m. as they travel to Louise Moore Park in Easton to take on Becahi, Liberty and Freedom.
