GAME NOTES:  Emmaus and Avon Grove meet for the second consecutive year in the state tournament. A year ago, the Hornets defeated the Red Devils 2-1 … Both teams posted shutouts in their first-round state games with Emmaus defeating Garnet Valley 5-0 and Avon Grove defeating Wyoming Valley West 3-0 …The Hornets have outscored their opponents 180-8 while posting 20 shutouts on the season … Avon Grove’s lone loss of the season came against Downingtown West 2-1 in the District One Tournament. The Red Devils bounced back with a 2-1 win over Conestoga in play backs before defeating Garnet Valley 1-0 in the fifth-place game.
