Field Hockey – Herbine and Burnett lead offense as Hornets pick up eighth win of the season with 13-0 shutout of Freedom

RECAP >> Seven different players scored at least one goal in Emmaus’ 13-0 rout at Freedom on Thursday afternoon.

The Hornets improved to 8-0 overall with the victory and have now outscored their opponents 90-0.

Senior Rachel Herbine led the offense with two goals and a game-high four assists, while classmate Abby Burnett added a pair of goals and three assists. Juniors Sage Pilarski and Hailey Cook each tallied two goals and an assist and junior Emmy Condrack also scored a pair of goals.

In goal, junior Emma Cari turned away the only shot she faced in the game and recorded the shutout.

The Hornets will return to action at 12:15 p.m. on Saturday as they host East Stroudsburg South at Memorial Field.
