Field Hockey – Herbine sisters — Annika and Rachel — combine for 6 goals as Hornets roll Whitehall 12-0 in home opener.

RECAP >> Junior Annika Herbine and sister freshman Rachel each registered hat tricks and two assists as Emmaus (2-0 overall) used a big first half in a dominating 12-0 win over Whitehall on Tuesday night in their home opener at Memorial Field.

Both scored three goals apiece in the first half, and for Rachel, her first career hat trick, as the Hornets scored early and often in jumping out to a commanding 11-0 lead at the half.

Senior Liz Mazzella added a pair of goals in the win, while sophomore Lexi Kociban, freshman Abby Burnett, junior Mackenzie Bruns and sophomore Brooke Mancini all scored solo goals for the Hornets who out shot the Zephyrs 25-0.

Emmaus will be back in action at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday when they travel to Allen.
