GAME NOTES – A trip to the state championship is on the line as Emmaus and Villa Maria meet for the second consecutive season in the state semis. A year ago, the Hurricane defeated the Hornets 2-1 in overtime on Catilin Connell’s game-winning goal … Emmaus is looking to get back to the state final since winning it all in 2023. The Hornets also won gold in 2021 defeating Lower Dauphin 1-0. As a program, they’ve won 15 state titles … On the season, the Hornets have outscored their opponents 184-9 while posting 20 shutouts … Villa Maria was the top seed in District One, defeating Ridley 7-0, Garnet Valley 8-1, Methacton 6-0 and CB West in the finals 3-2 … A year ago, the Hurricane reached the championship game before falling to Conestoga in the finals.
