Emmaus head football coach Harold Fairclough has announced six new additions to his coaching staff for the upcoming 2019 season.
Fairclough, who will be entering his fourth season, has added assistant coaches Dale Fink (offensive coordinator), Dave McFadden (defensive line), Jake Reichard (linebackers), Brandon Renford (wide receivers), Rob Sawicki (free safeties) and John Scerbo (tight ends/fullbacks).
Here’s the complete list of the new assistants and their bios:
Dale Fink (Offensive Coordinator/QB Coach) – Fink most recently served as a quarterbacks coach at Northwestern Lehigh ….He was also an offensive coordinator at a high school in Belleville, Ill … Fink was a record-setting quarterback at Sacred Heart University …He also played quarterback for the former Lehigh Valley Steelhawks in 2012 …Fink’s hometown is Swansea, IL and he attended Althoff Catholic High School.
Dave McFadden (Defensive Line) – McFadden was an assistant at Central Catholic the last two years serving as the defensive line coach …..He is a 2010 graduate of Central Catholic where he played for Fairclough …He was a 2009 2nd Team All-State AAA defensive end and a Lehigh Valley Conference 1st Team DE …..McFadden played at Bloomsburg University from 2011-2014 where he was a three-year starter and First Team All-PSAC DE.
Jake Reichard (Outside Linebackers) – Reichard has been an assistant at Central Catholic the last 12 years serving as the OL, DL and Def. Coordinator the last nine seasons ….Team won four District XI titles and a state championship during his time as an assistant …. Also spent time as the OL and DC for freshmen team for three years ….Played and graduated from CCHS in 2005.
Brandon Renford (Wide Receivers) – Played wide receiver for the professional indoor LV Steelhawks where he led the team in several offensive categories, including receptions, yards, receiving touchdowns, all purpose yards and scoring …… Also played for the Philadelphia Soul… Attended Niagra Community College
Rob Sawicki (free safeties) – entering his 23rd year coaching varsity football both as an assistant and head coach …. Sawicki coached at Salisbury in 2004 and was the head coach from 2008-2011 …. Prior to coaching, Sawicki played at Division 2 East Stroudsburg University… A 1996 graduate of East Stroudsburg South High School, he was the team captain of the 1995 Mountain Valley Conference (MVC) and District XI Championship Football team.
John Scerbo (Tight Ends/Fullbacks) – was an assistant coach at Central Catholic from 2016-2018 … Attended Muhlenberg College where he played fullback … Was a two-sport athlete (football and baseball) at Bethlehem Catholic where he graduated in 1999.
