GAME NOTES: Emmaus opens its 98th season of football hosting Neshaminy from the Suburban One Conference. In last year’s meeting, the Hornets squandered a number of opportunities to win the game as the Redskins pulled out a 20-17 win in overtime. It was the first time in 13 years that Emmaus has dropped its season-opener … A year ago, the Hornets finished 10-3 advancing to the District XI championship game before falling to rival Parkland 17-3, three weeks after routing the Trojans 27-0 at EPSD Stadium … Emmaus brings back a number of skilled players on offense and an experienced offensive line. Defensively, the Hornets were hit by graduation with the loss of nine starters, but do return an experienced D-Line sparked by Edwards the Richmond University commit … Neshaminy finished 6-5 a season ago losing its last three games of the season, including a 31-24 defeat to Owen J. Roberts in the District 1 playoffs. The Redskins return five starters on both sides of the ball. Eckhart is an experienced QB as is Clee at RB.
