But the second half was a different story as the Hornets offense went cold and as result, head coach Kelsey Gallagher’s team 42-36, less than two weeks after handing the Zephyrs a 28-21 defeat on their home court.

Whitehall outscored Emmaus 25-16 after halftime and pulled away as they improved to 3-5 on the season, while the Hornets fell to 4-3 after dropping its third game in the last four.

Junior Kam Watkins led Emmaus and all scorers on the night with a career-high 16 points, including four 3-pointers. No other Hornet scored more than six points.

For Whitehall, their balanced scoring attack was led by junior Ella Laky who had a team-high 12 points and senior Joey Shaul and junior Olivia Hines who each contributed 11.

The Hornets will look to bounce back on Thursday as they host Central Catholic at 7 p.m. on Senior Night. The game will be carried live on The Eastern Pa. Sports Network beginning with the pregame show at 6:45 p.m.
