Girls Basketball – Inman’s career-high 17 point effort fuels Hornets as they remain unbeaten in EPC play with 47-29 road win over Freedom

RECAP >> The Emmaus girls basketball team continued to have one of its best starts in recent history as they opened up play in the New Year with a 47-29 road win at Freedom on Tuesday night.

Head coach Kelsey Gallagher’s team has now won five straight games as they remained unbeaten (5-0) in Eastern Pennsylvania Conference play while improving their overall mark to 7-2. Last night’s win was also the first by the Hornets over the Patriots since the 2016-17 season (48-45).

Junior Paige Inman led Emmaus in scoring with a career-high 17 points, including going 7-for-11 from the free-throw line. Teammate senior Kam Watkins also reached double figures finishing with 10 points.

Freedom was led in scoring by junior Keturah Stewart and senior Kailey Turpening who each had seven points. The Patriots dropped to 2-2 in the EPC and 4-4 overall with the loss.

The Hornets will return to action on Friday at 7 p.m. as they travel to Northampton to take on the K-Kids (3-1 EPC/7-2 overall)
