RECAP >> Senior Steph Klemick and junior Grace Oglesbee each scored a team-high seven points as the Hornets opened up their season with an easy 42-22 road win over Dieruff on Friday.
Emmaus (1-0) was never challenged in the game as they jumped out to an 11-point lead after one quarter (17-6) and held a 17-point advantage (23-6) at the half after holding the Huskies scoreless in the second quarter.
Dieruff (0-1) was led in scoring by senior Kalis Collazo who had a game-high 14 points, including four 3-pointers.
The two teams will meet again on Tuesday at Emmaus at 7 p.m. The game will be carried LIVE on The Eastern Pennsylvania Sports Network (www.easternpasportsnetwork.com)
