Girls Basketball – Snyder and Doemling each score 16 points as Hornets beat Freedom 47-27 to end four-game losing streak.

Freshman Kayla Snyder scored a career-high 22 points in last night's EPC semifinal vs Liberty.

Emmaus snapped a season-long four game losing streak on Thursday afternoon as the Hornets pulled away from Freedom for a 47-27 victory and a third place finish at the 27th Annual Jack Bennett Rotary Tournament at Easton.

Freshman Kayla Snyder reached double figures for the seventh time this season and finished with 16 points, while senior Cassie Doemling also had 16 matching her career-high. For her efforts, Doemling was named to the all-tournament team.

The win improved Emmaus to 4-6 on the season.

The Hornets, who were coming off of a 44-31 loss to unbeaten Easton one day earlier, outscored Freedom in three of the four quarters and held the Patriots scoreless in the fourth quarter 14-0.

Freedom (4-6) was led in scoring by Alexus McNeill who had a team-high seven points.

The Hornets will return to action on Wednesday, January 3 as they host Stroudsburg at 7 p.m.
