RECAP >> In a matchup of unbeatens, it was Emmaus remaining that way at the end of the night as the Hornets handed Freedom its first loss of the season with an 11-7 victory on a cold and blustery Thursday evening at Memorial Field. The game was carried LIVE on The Eastern Pa Sports Network.
Junior Julia Cote led the offense with her third five-goal game of the season as Emmaus improved to 11-0 overall and 7-0 in the EPC.
Sophomore Emily Hollinger also had a big game for the Hornets with two goals and two assists, junior Mikayla Viola added a pair of goals and senior Ally Shaffer had a five-point night with four assists to go along with her 11th goal of the season. Freshman Jordyn Poll also scored in the win, her 19th goal of the year. Senior Ellie Ervin picked up the win between the pipes making six saves.
Freedom (7-1/4-1) was led in scoring by Paige Telatovich who had a hat trick.
Emmaus will return to action on Saturday at 2 p.m. as they travel to Berks County to take on Wilson in a non-league matchup.
