RECAP >> Emmaus tuned up for its showdown with rival Easton on Thursday by cruising to an easy 15-2 win over Central Catholic last night in a game played at John Makuvek Field at Moravian College.
Five different players figured into the scoring column for the Hornets who improved to 6-1 in the EPC and 13-1 overall.
Senior Julia Cote led the offense with her third six-goal game of the season. Sophomore Jordyn Poll had a hat trick to go along with two assists, junior Emily Hollinger had a four point night (2 goals/2 assists) and sophomore Olivia Schmidt also scored a pair of goals. In net, sophomore Alani Shotwell made three saves.
Central Catholic (3-4 EPC/5-5 overall) was led by junior Lauren Nelson who scored both of her team’s goals. Senior Riley Horoshko recorded 11 saves in the loss.
Emmaus will now prepare for its showdown with unbeaten Easton which is still undefeated in league play (6-0). The two rivals will meet at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday and the game will be carried LIVE on www.easternpasportsnetwork.com beginning with the pregame show at 6:10 p.m.
