Girls LAX – Hollinger nets career-high 7 goals, Shotwell 200th career save as Hornets roll rival Easton 17-4

Senior Emily Hollinger (19) pictured earlier this season vs Solehi had a career-high 7 goals in the Hornets win over Easton.

RECAP >> Emily Hollinger singlehandedly outscored Easton on Tuesday night posting a career-high seven goals as Emmaus rolled to a 17-4 win over the Red Rovers at Cottingham Stadium.

The victory improved the Hornets to 11-3 overal and 5-1 in the EPC. Easton dropped to 8-4 and 4-2 in the league with the loss.

Junior Bri McClain also had a big game in the win with a five-point effort (3g/2a), while classmate Olivia Schmidt had a hat trick and junior Jordyn Poll added a pair of goals to go along with two assists. In goal, junior Alani Shotwell made seven saves, including the 200th of her career.

For Easton, junior Jocelyn Morgan and senior Reese Kreiger each scored a pair of goals. 

Up next for Emmaus is a home contest on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. vs Northwestern Lehigh (6-5).
