RECAP >> Seven different players scored goals as the Hornets bounced back from their first league loss of the season with a dominating 16-6 victory over Central Catholic on Mentor Night Thursday at home at Memorial Field.
Senior Emily Hollinger registered her fourth six-goal game of the season to lead the offensive attack for Emmaus (4-1 EPC/9-2 overall) which was coming off an 8-7 upset loss at Freedom earlier this week.
Junior Bri McClain added a hat trick in the win, while classmate Jordyn Poll had a game-high three assists to go along with a pair of goals. Sophomore Brooke Peterson added two goals and junior Melea Weber had a three-point effort (1 goal/2 assists). In goal, junior Alani Shotwell was credited with two saves and sophomore Devin O’Neil made five stops.
Central Catholic (2-5-1 overall/2-5 EPC) was led by sophomore Kate Raymond who had a hat trick. Classmate Addison Gloss added a pair of goals.
Emmaus will return to action at 6:45 p.m. on Friday as they travel to Kennett for a non-league game.
