Girls LAX – Wilson pulls away late to hand Hornets first loss of season 13-9

RECAP >> Emmaus and Wilson West Lawn battled it out in the rain Saturday morning at Memorial Field with the visitors coming away with a 13-9 victory, handing the Hornets their first loss of the season.

Wilson pulled away late from a 9-9 tie in the second half to score the game’s final four goals as they improved to 4-2 overall.

Senior Jenna Facciolli, the team’s leading goal scorer, had a seven-point game with three goals and four assists to lead the Bulldogs, while junior Caitlin Trickett added a hat trick.

For Emmaus which dropped to 3-1 on the season, senior Emily Hollinger led the offense with a six-point effort (4 goals/2 assists). Junior Bri McClain also had a four-goal game, while junior Jordyn Poll added her 99th career goal.

The Hornets will look to get back into the win column on Monday at 4 p.m. as they travel to Moravian Academy for a non-league game.
