Girls Soccer – Hornets roll to third straight win, rout Becahi 8-1 behind Watkins, Candy and McWhinney

RECAP >> Emmaus got scoring from five different players on Monday night as the Hornets rolled to an 8-1 rout of Bethlehem Catholic at Memorial Field.

Senior Kam Watkins scored two goals and added a two assists, while classmate Sophia Candy and freshman Kamryn McWhinney each added two goals for Emmaus which improved to 3-1 on the season after picking up its third straight win.

Junior Madison Woodward scored a goal and dished out two assists and fellow junior Paige Inman also found the back of the net in the victory.

In goal, senior Molly Lineberger, junior Megan King and freshman Ashley Stine combined to allow just one goal.

Bethlehem Catholic’s lone goal came from Sarah Talpas. The Golden Hawks remained winless on the season (0-2-1).

The Hornets will return to action at 4 p.m. on Friday as they travel to East Stroudsburg North.
