VOLLEYS – After sweeping PM West in the quarterfinals on Saturday 3-0 (25-8, 25-23, 25-13), the Hornets now turn their attention towards the semifinals and a second meeting against Freedom. The two teams met earlier this season with Emmaus sweeping the Patriots in straight sets … The Hornets are appearing in the semis for the first time since 2021. That season, Emmaus defeated Northampton (3-1) and Freedom (3-0) before falling to rival Parkland in the finals (3-0) … Like Emmaus, Freedom also swept their quarterfinal round game, defeating Pleasant Valley 3-0 (25-16, 25-12, 25-23). The Patriots losses this season have come against Becahi (twice) and Emmaus …There will be a new champion in the EPC after CCHS was swept in straight sets by Parkland on Saturday.
