Girls Volleyball – Hornets fall to rival Parkland 3-0 on Senior Night.

RECAP >> Rival Parkland continued its dominance over Emmaus, spoiling the Hornets Senior Night on Tuesday inside the Emmaus Aux Gym.

The Trojans, who haven’t lost to Emmaus since 2019, rolled to the three-set sweep 25-18, 25-17 and 25-19.

The loss was just the second on the season for first year head coach Jess Olang’s squad, who dropped to 9-2 in the EPC and 10-2 overall. Meanwhile, Parkland improved to 8-3 in both the league and overall.

Leading the Trojans in the victory was senior Sarah Furey who had a game-high 10 kills to go along with seven digs. Another senior, Lily Anderson, and junior Kasia Burda, had nine and seven kills, respectively, while defensively, senior Izzy Fekula had a game-high 17 digs. Freshman Josee Kim dished out 32 assists.

For Emmaus, junior Maleya Hinds had a team-best nine kills, while junior Cirrae Cuffy was next with five kills. Junior Haley Seidel had 14 digs.

Prior to the match, Emmaus honored its lone senior Lauren Horvath.

The Hornets will look to get back into the win column tonight at 6:30 p.m. as they travel to Whitehall (3-10 EPC/4-10 overall).
