The Emmaus girls wrestling team will compete in the Gettysburg Duals on Saturday. Action gets underway at 9 a.m. with 12 teams competing for the championship.
In Pool A, Emmaus will face the host school Gettysburg in its opening round match, followed by matchups vs North Allegheny, Wilson West Lawn, Lampeter Strasburg and Chambersburg.
In Pool B, the six teams competing will be Curwensville, Waynesboro, Schuylkill Valley, Camp Hill, Greencastle and Northern.
The playoffs get underway once pool play is complete. The Pool A champ will take on the Pool B champ with the second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth place teams from Pool A taking on Pool B.
Gettysburg is the defending champ after defeating Northampton 60-18 in the finals.
Emmaus’ projected lineup for the tournament will be: Nitzana Jamaica/Molly Dixon (100), Kanval Naveed (106), Julianna Garcia/Danielle Rivera (112), Julia Paung/Flor Chouloupe (118), Calia Shotwell (124), Sarah Lysinger (130), Brynn Koberlein (136), Haily Laible/Kadence Yannotti (142), Ariana Koberlein (148), Olivya Kroope (155), Jocelyn Vargas (170), Petra Perez/Mia Rifas/Kate Brion (190) and Rayne Shaw (235).
Emmaus is 1-0 on the season after defeating Bethlehem Catholic 72-6 last week.
