The Emmaus golf team clinched its second straight Eastern Pennsylvania Conference (EPC) regular-season championship earlier this week as the Hornets defeated Nazareth in a match-up of the league’s last two unbeatens.

Head coach Mo Bryan’s team remained perfect on the season as they improved to 11-0 following a 378-416 win over the Blue Eagles at Brookside Country Club. The victory gives the Hornets their fifth title in the last six years.

Junior Michelle Cox led the Hornets with her second consecutive round of 1-under 70. Teammate sophomore Matt Zerfass was just two shots back with a 1-over 72, while classmate Aidan LeBlanc and junior John Keba both had rounds of 7-over 78.

Nazareth, which dropped to 12-1 on the season, was led by freshman Bryson Hicklin who shot a 78. Junior Ethan Honsel was next with an 83 followed by sophomores TJ Bohl and Chase Skrapits and freshman Aiden Greenberg who all had rounds of 85.

Emmaus followed up their win over Nazareth by defeating Southern Lehigh 369-431 on Thursday in their final home match of the regular-season.

Cox and Keba shared scoring honors with both shooting even par-71. For Keba, it was his lowest round of the season.

Zerfass and LeBlanc finished with rounds of 4-over 75, while teammates Nate Seidel and Sean Jaeger were two shots back at 6-over 77.

The Hornets will close out their regular-season on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. as they travel to Iron Lakes to take on rival Parkland.
