Rival Parkland handed Emmaus just its second loss of the season on Tuesday afternoon at Brookside Country Club as the Trojans defeated the Hornets by nine strokes (393-402).
Parkland, which also beat Emmaus last year (390-398), had three of the five lowest scores of the day with senior AJ Sundstrom taking home top scoring honors with a 2-over 73. Teammate Ryan Posocco also finished in the top five with an 8-over 79, while senior Landen Benner was one shot back with a 9-over 80.
Emmaus (13-2 overall) was led by junior Evan Walters V who carded a 4-over 75. Senior Kyan DeLong was next with a 5-over 76.
Emmaus will return to action today at 2:40 p.m. as they host Blue Mountain in a key non-league District 11 matchup.
