“Have fun with whatever you do because you don’t know if it’s going to end.” That’s the advice from Noah Szankovics to his underclassmen. Our Q & A with the boys volleyball senior

Editor’s Note: Over the next weeks and months, Emmaussports.com will be spotlighting senior spring sports student-athletes at Emmaus High School who have had their final athletic year canceled due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

Today we spotlight Noah Szankovics (NS) of the boys volleyball team with our Q and A session:

Q: How are you coping during these difficult and uncertain times with the Coronavirus pandemic?

NS: Lots of walks and working in the garage have been helping me cope.

Q: What’s been the biggest challenge for you day to day?

NS: Not having my volleyball outlet.

Q: What are you doing to keep busy?

NS: I’ve been catching up on school work and organizing my stuff around the house.

Q: How disappointed are you now that the spring sports season has been cancelled?

NS: I am very disappointed because it was my last volleyball season as a high schooler. I did not have a chance to earn a spot on the all-star roster which stinks. Also, I hadn’t had much time to play with my team this year.

Q: What will be your favorite memory from your high school career?

NS: My best memory is when the athletic director got contacted due to me wearing a coconut bra without a shirt during the EPCs, even though it was Hawaiian theme night for the team.

Q: What are you future plans after high school? If college, what school have you committed to and do you plan on playing sports and what will be your major?

NS: Currently I’m still unsure, however I will continue to play volleyball on a men’s league.

Q: What’s the best advice you can give to your underclassmen?

NS: Have fun with whatever you do because you don’t know if it’s going to end.
