
Emmaus 17, Moravian Academy 1 (Girls)
At Memorial Field, 11 different players scored goals in the Hornets rout of Moravian Academy.
Junior Sarah Gross led all scorers with a hat trick, while senior Abby DiComes (2g/2a) and McKenna Guzik (1g/3a) each had a four-point game.
Juniors Rylie Poll and Taylor Younker along with sophomore Ally Kusko each added a pair of goals for the Hornets, who improved to 8-5 on the season.
For Moravian Academy, Kat Lozano scored her team’s only goal of the game early in the fourth quarter. The Lions remained winless on the season as they dropped to 0-9.
Emmaus will return to action at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday as they travel to Southern Lehigh (8-3).

Moravian Academy 12, Emmaus 10 (Boys)
At Moravian Academy, Emmaus battled back from a six-goal deficit in the fourth quarter to make it a one score game, but the Hornets couldn’t complete the comeback as they suffered their first-ever loss to the Lions.
Senior Kaleb Mains led head coach Justin Fuhrman’s team, who dropped to 6-8 on the season, with a hat trick to go along with two assists.
Two other seniors – Gabe Chies and Jewlien Torres – along with freshman Dylan Maloney each added a pair of goals.
For Moravian Academy, sophomore Caleb Albert led the way with a game-high six goals. Classmate Caden Ditze also had a big game with two goals and three assists. In goal, senior JD Gippe made five saves in the first half before giving way to freshman Brady Hopstetter who had eight stops for the Lions who snapped a three-game losing streak in improving to 6-4 on the season.
Emmaus will look to get back into the win column at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday as they host Solehi (6-4).
