Lacrosse – Hornets suffer first-ever defeat to Northwestern Lehigh as Tigers rally for 7-6 overtime win.

At Northwestern Lehigh on Tuesday night, the Tigers earned their first-ever victory against Emmaus stunning the Hornets with a 7-6 overtime victory.

Freshman Logan Uricchio wound up scoring the game-winner in the extra session with just :36 seconds left to lead Northwestern to its biggest win to date.

The Tigers (4-2 overall) had trailed by a pair of goals at the half (4-2) but limited the Hornets to just a pair of scores over the final two quarters and in the overtime session.

Six different players figured into the scoring column for Northwestern led by sophomore Braydon Uricchio who had a three-point game with a goal and two assists. Sophomore Mike Lagowy added a pair of goals, while classmate Tyler Kaas and Logan Uricchio each added a goal and an assist. In goal, junior Dane Kauker made nine saves.

For Emmaus, losers of four of their last five games, senior Kaleb Mains led the way with a five-point effort (3 goals/2 assists). Mains third goal of the night with a little over five minutes left in regulation sent the game into overtime.

The Hornets (3-4) will look to bounce back on Thursday as they host Pleasant Valley. Opening faceoff is set for 6:30 p.m.
