LAX – Rooney’s 4 goals lead boys to season-opening 14-3 win over Nazareth; McClain tallies career-high 6 goals as girls rout Blue Eagles 18-3

RECAP >> The Hornets got the Bob Kornicke-era off to a good start at Nazareth last night in their opener as they rolled to a 14-3 win over the Blue Eagles.

Junior Liam Rooney led the offense with a game-high four goals, while sophomore Gabe Chies added a hat trick. Junior Will Barber scored a pair of goals and an assist, while freshman Jack Restino added two goals – the first of his varsity career.

Nazareth dropped to 0-3 with the loss.

Emmaus will be back in action on Tuesday, March 28 as they host Becahi in their home-opener at 6:30 p.m. at Memorial Field.

RECAP >> Junior Bri McClain scored a career-high six goals as the Hornets cruised past Nazareth 18-3 in their Eastern Pennsylvania Conference opener at home at Memorial Field.

Senior Emily Hollinger had a six-point game with four goals and two assists, while junior Olivia Schmidt tallied a hat trick for Emmaus (2-0).

The Hornets will return to action on Thursday, March 30 as they host Liberty at 6:30 p.m.
