Emmaus 7, Whitehall 1 (Girls)
Junior Kam McWhinney registered a hat trick as the Hornets used a big second half to roll to a 7-1 rout at Whitehall on Friday afternoon.
Emmaus pulled away from a one-goal lead at the break to outscore the Zephys 5-0 in the second half as they remained unbeaten on the season in improving to 4-0 overall and 3-0 in the EPC.
Freshman Elizabeth Bender, who was coming off scoring her first career hat trick in the team’s 9-0 win over Liberty earlier in the week, added a pair of goals in the win, while seniors Ryleigh McNellis and Sammy Walkiewicz also scored.
The Hornets will return to action on Tuesday as they host Pleasant Valley at 6:30 p.m.

The Hornets and the Zephyrs were in a scoreless tie at intermission, but the second half was a dominant effort by Emmaus as they rolled to a 5-0 victory at home at Memorial Field on Friday afternoon.
Four different players scored goals in the win with senior Ryan Kiernan leading the way with his fifth and sixth goals of the season. Junior Mohamed Hassanali added his third goal of the year, while sophomore Connor Powell his second.
Emmaus will return to the pitch on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. as they travel to Pleasant Valley.
